Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R specs has been revealed as the bike has finally been launched, not here but, in Indonesia.
First unveiled at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, the quarter-litre bike will cost IDR 96,000,000 (Rs. 4.99 lakhs) for the standard variant.
The top variant named the “Special Edition” is priced at IDR 112,900,000 (Rs. 5.87 lakhs). Both are on-road prices.
The initial launch of the bike was scheduled for 4th April in Indonesia, but COVID-19 threw a spanner in the works.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25 R specs are as follows – The 249.8cc, inline 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 51 PS at a staggering 15,500 RPM and 22.9 Nm of torque at 14,500 RPM. The redline you ask? It is at 17,000 RPM.
It comes with a 6-speed transmission and the top model is specced with a bi-directional quickshifter for clutchless shifts.
The overall length of the bike is 1980 mm, width is 750 mm, height is 1110 m, while the wheelbase is 1380 mm.
It has a ground clearance of 125 mm and the seat height is 785 mm. With a full tank of fuel, 15 litres in total, the bike weighs 182 kg.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R uses separate function big piston (37 mm) USD forks (SFF-BP) at the front and a horizontal back-link preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Braking duties will be taken care of by a single 310 mm disc along with a radially-mounted 4-piston monobloc caliper upfront and a 220 mm single-piston caliper disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS offered on the top spec variant.
The 17-inch wheels come wrapped with Dunlop GPR300 radial tyres and the sizes are 110/70 at the front and 150/60 at the rear.
Kawasaki has thrown in good features with the ZX-25R like LED headlight, LED tail light and a semi-digital instrument console, while there is traction control and different power modes too.
The quarter-litre bike is available in four different liveries – lime green, white/black, blue/black and black and owners of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R will get a keyless immobiliser to stop the bike from being stolen.
Kawasaki will use Indonesia as its manufacturing hub and export the bike to other countries.
Do not get your hopes high about the ZX-25R, since Kawasaki will not be launching the bike here any time soon.
