Yamaha India launched the YZF R3 on Tuesday for Rs 3.25 lakh. So it is obvious that we compare the new bike with the already supreme bike in the 300cc segment. We compare the newly launched Yamaha R3 with the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and see which fares better now that the competition in the segment rises to the next level with the launch of Yamaha R3.

Engine:

The new Yamaha YZF R3, based on the Yamaha YZF R25 model, comes with a 321cc two-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, four -valves engine churning out a total power output of 42PS and a maximum torque of 29.6 Nm and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 comes with a 296 cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel twin engine pumping 39 PS of peak power and 27NM of peak torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

The new Yamaha YZF R3 has a top speed of 180 km/hr.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 has a top speed of 160 km/hr.
