When focusing on the main objectives, Need for Speed: Underground 2 is about 20 Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 29 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

Everything about Need for Speed Underground 2 is bigger and better than before, but it's also almost entirely different. The huge city with its open-ended exploration mode gives you a sense of freedom that we've never seen in the franchise, but it also takes away a lot of the structure that some gamers might require.

The races are divided into 5 "stages". Once any stage is completed, the race locations of that stage will be replaced by the counterparts of the next stage.

They're heavily connected, Underground 2 is a direct sequel to Underground 1 and the opening cutscene of Underground 2 shows that. But they are, because the UG1 and UG2 characters are one and the same.

Sure, listening to the same songs playing over and over was frustrating, but the game has the most customization of any game in the series, and it's why it's considered the best Need For Speed game of all time.

All races take place in the fictional Olympic City. Rather than exotic cars, Underground featured vehicles associated with the import scene.

All these years later, Underground is still fun enough. Your enjoyment of it will likely hinge on how invested you were in the car culture of the time, as the occasionally janky physics and repetitive circuit racing tend to wear thin pretty quick. NFSU2, with its open world, surely gives you more to do.

Overall it's just a disappointing racing game that could've been so much better, but it's so bad that it's somewhat fun. Final Rating: "Bad" ~ 3/10.

With Need for Speed: The Run, it seems like EA finally found the right mix of action and challenge, and the sporadic out-of-the-car sequences give just enough of a break to keep you pushing forward. Need for Speed The Run is a game that has just enough issues to make it an average game.

The Police were removed from the Underground series titles and with their return to the series being a main aspect of Need for Speed: Most Wanted as well as every other title releases afterwards except for Need for Speed: ProStreet and the Shift series.
