Golden Eggs are currently the only currency used in Shell Shockers. Players can use Golden Eggs to buy Hats, Stamps, Gun Skins, Melee Skins and Grenade Skins in the shop. They are earned by getting kills in online public matches/private matches etc. 10 Golden Eggs are awarded each time you kill an enemy player. However every weekend, this will convert to a 2x multiplier for gaining eggs and will be able to get 20 (double) Golden Eggs with each kill you get. With VIP Club you will get 20 eggs per kill on weekdays and 40 eggs per kill on 2x weekends. Previously, if you had downloaded Shell Shockers Mobile, you would have earned 20 eggs per kill on weekdays and 40 eggs per kill on 2x weekends, however this feature is no longer available. Golden eggs can also be earned from playing the round based game; King of the Coop, which awards a 250 golden egg loyalty bonus to the winning teams players. There is also the popular Minigame, Chick'n Winner, where you can watch ads and be rewarded with anywhere between 50-100,000 Golden Eggs and even some items, (100,000 Golden Eggs are very rare to get in the Chicken Winner game being the highest tier of rarity achievable.) In the shop, items for sale can cost anywhere between: 200 to 150000 Golden Eggs. Chick'n Winner gives you the chance to gain eggs quickly, and all you have to do is wait a few minutes, watch a video, and get another chance at gaining more Golden Eggs!!! However after your 4-5 limited chances their will be a 24 hour wait time until you can do your chances again. So while it is a great way to gain Golden Eggs fast, it is also limited to 4 times every day.
Each weekend, the x2 Golden Egg event occurs, also known as "Double Egg Weekends",[1] in which the eggs per kill are doubled for all players. This multiplier stacks with VIP.[2]The player gets 10 golden eggs per kill, 20 with the double multiplier, and 40 with a double multiplier and being a member of the VIP Club. If you combine this with the multiplier on mobile, you could farm eggs extremely easily in large numbers. (This method is now outdated as the mobile version of the game has been discontinued.)
During the Massive Mobile update, it was possible to have a massive x8 multiplier for kills. You had to be playing on mobile, be subscribed to the VIP Club, and play on the weekend to obtain this multiplier. So each kill would be worth 80 Golden Eggs and on the weekend of the event each kill would be worth 160 Golden Eggs. (As previously explained, this method is now outdated.)
There used to be a feature called the "Chicken Nugget", which (after pressing an egg repeatedly a few times) granted you double eggs and all eggshell colors for one hour, all for free. This was later removed to create space for the new VIP club, as the "Chicken Nugget" granted almost all the features of the VIP Club excluding the exclusive cosmetic items.
Another way you can get Golden Eggs is by signing up for the New Yolker. When Blue Wizard Digital sends the Mid-Month New Yolker emails, they often send a special new yolker skin in the beginning of every month. Sometimes these skins are substituted for some eggs. The amount can vary. Pressing this button will take you to the game lobby, and a message will appear saying "Eggsellent!" and will award you with whatever prize there is for that month.
You can also get Golden Eggs by being on the winning team during the Gamemode"King of The Coop". If you are on the winning team (and did not switch to that team), then you can collect 250 Golden Eggs for free. It is important to note that this award is called a "Team Loyalty Bonus". If you're losing and you switch teams to the winning team, you will not receive your 250 golden Eggs due to "swapping teams and making it unfair". If you're winning, but for some reason you switch on to the losing team and you help lead your team to victory - you will still get the prestigious 250 Golden Eggs. (Help your team out if you want a bous of 250 Golden Eggs!)
Golden Eggs can also be purchased with real money via the Egg Shack. These offers can include $5 for 30000 Golden Eggs, $10 for 65000 Golden Eggs, and $20 for 150000 Golden Eggs. In update 0.45.6, the Eggflation Update, prices were lowered for these egg bundles, with new offers being $3 for 30000 golden eggs, $6 for 65000 golden eggs, and $12 for 150000 golden eggs. In addition to this, occasional sales will be held, such as the Black Fryday 2x egg special which doubled the number of eggs you could buy.
As of the 0.42.4 update, a small minigame called the Chick'n Winner was added. You can play this mini-game 4-5 times a day. The first time you play you will not have to watch an ad to access the game but the 3-4 following times you play, you will have to watch a ad to access the mini-game. During the mini-game players will get to pick one of three eggs that hold a surprise which could contain free Golden Eggs. There is a possibility of winning 50 - 100,000 Golden Eggs, but you have a higher probability of winning the lower amount of Golden Eggs because they are more common. There is also now the possibility of winning a cool prize from the Chick'n Winner now. The prize can be a cheap shop item, an expensive shop item, an albino, buck, or other rare skins. However, just like the Golden Egg prize amount, these will be rarer to get from the Chick'n Winner. But rarely BWD gives codes for eggs; eg. 100000, 10000, etc
