Is Burmester better than Bose Porsche? ›

Burmester no doubt sounds better than the Bose system, but most of that is probably because there are more speakers and maybe because the speaker components are higher quality. Software processing in the PCM is likely to be the same. High tone speakers are all amplified directly by the PCM.

I had Burmester in a Panamera Turbo years ago - it is INCREDIBLE. That said, the Bose in Taycan is VERY good and IMO not worth the Burmester upgrade at the current cost. If it was 1/2 the cost I would do it.

I've got Bose in 911R and Speedster and Burmester in 991.2 Turbo S Cab and Macan Turbo. I'd pay extra for the Burmester given the opportunity. It's MUCH better than the Bose. While its true that the 911 isn't the best environment for listening pleasure due to road noise, what about shuffling around in city traffic?
