What are the best settings for Escape From Tarkov? ›

Z-Blur is basically the blurring of an image when turning your head or sprinting. I would recommend turning this off as it doesn't provide any advantage to have it on in the first place. Turn this off, it adds unnecessary noise to your image clarity and provides no benefit.

Unless specified by the quest itself, you can also complete quests with your Scav. Contrary to PMCs, when playing as a Scav you'll enter the map when the Raid is in progress (the exact moment varies). This means that the PMCs will also have an advantage in position, and they will be able to loot locations before you.

The biggest and most obvious difference between BEAR and USEC is that BEAR is Russian, whereas USEC is American. This means that their in-game chatter differs; if you don't understand Russian and you pick BEAR, you won't be able to understand what your character is saying in-game.
