Brandon Truaxe, el polémico creador de Deciem, la marca filial de The Ordinary, ha fallecido a los 40 años. La noticia saltaba a través del propio Instagram de Deciem, que ha colgado un emotivo mensaje para conmemorar a su creador: "tocaste nuestros corazones, inspiraste nuestras mentes y nos hiciste creer que todo es posible". La cuenta de la firma en España también ha querido hacerse eco del suceso.

El fallecimiento de Truaxe se produce meses después de su salida de la marca que él mismo creó en extrañas circunstancias: el pasado octubre, Brandon escribió un extraño post en el que anunciaba que The Ordinary echaba el cierre: "Este es el último post de Deciem. Vamos a dejar de operar hasta nuevo aviso, que serán unos dos meses (...). Casi todo el mundo en Deciem ha estado involucrado en una actividad delictiva que incluye delitos fiscales y más".

Todo era muy raro, ya que después la firma reabrió tras haber despedido a Truaxe: Estée Lauder, propietaria de un 26% de la compañía desde 2017, decidió emprender acciones legales contra él por sus acusaciones, consiguiendo que el juez fallase a su favor y sustituyera al fundador de Deciem por Nicola Kilner como CEO interina, ya que, como señaló el juez, "el comportamiento del señor Truaxe no es su comportamiento normal".
