Hi, hello, lemme introduce you to the first-ever Barbie. Released in 1959, the original Barbie features blonde hair, blue eyeshadow, red lips, gold hoops, and a striped black and white swimsuit. If you're lucky enough to find holes on the bottom of this Barbie's feet, congrats! That means it's a first edition, and you can fetch up to $27,450, like the one in mint condition that sold at an auction.

In 2014, Net-a-Porter released 900 limited-edition Karl Lagerfeld Barbie Dolls for $200. The dolls sold out v quickly and are now on the resale market for a sh*t ton of money (around $11,400, to be exact).

The Vintage Mattel Francie Barbie made in the 1960s is historic because it was the first Black Barbie doll ever made. Because this doll was made from the same mold as the original (Caucasian) Barbie doll, it, unfortunately, did not have any typical African American features. Slight bias here because I was born and raised in Chicago, but ahem, that aside, this 1999 Chicago Cubs Barbie is geared up in the complete classic Cubs uniform. Created by designer Sharon Zuckerman for the Barbie Loves Sports collection, she was especially $$ after the Cubs won the 2016 World Series. At one point, she could've got you about $2,000, but today you can find her for about $100.

The first sorority for Black women, Alpha Kappa Alpha, was founded in 1908. The Centennial Barbie was made in 2008 to celebrate the sorority's 100th anniversary. The doll sold out v quickly and is now worth some major moola. ($700 to be exact.)

The Women of Royalty Series released the Queen Elizabeth I Barbie in 2004. The elaborate design depicts every detail precisely, and you'll definitely pay a pretty penny for that. Snag it (or sell it!), on Amazon for $1,000.

Twelve years ago (yes, it's been that long since 2010, yikes), Barbie released the Athena doll as part of the Goddess Series. Not only is this a Gold Label edition, but only 5,300 dolls were made, making this a rare collectible item. Prices start around $700, but they're expected to rise as the years go on, so hold on to this one a little longer (!!)

Iconic diamond jewelry store, De Beers, paired up with Barbie to create this 40th Anniversary doll in 1999. But this doll is not like any 'ol regular Barbie—in fact, the belt is made with 160 diamonds courtesy of De Beers. Oh, and it's worth $85,000.

Hold your breath because I'm about to introduce you to the most expensive Barbie ever sold—say hello to the Stefani Canturi Barbie, released in 2010 and created to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The kicker? The Stefano Canturi-designed Barbie (aka "Stephani") necklace was created with emerald-cut Australian pink diamonds and sold at auction for $302,500.

The Monique Lhuillier Bride Barbie was released in 2006 to represent the modern bride of that time. A total of 8,500 Monique Barbies were released and due to them being a Gold Label Barbie, are worth around $450 today.

In fact, it was the most expensive Barbie ever sold at retail price due to it costing a whopping $900. Though today, if you're looking to sell, you'll only fetch about $240.

With embellished thigh-high gold boots, an adorable pink purse, a wrap dress, and a platinum bangle, the 2010 Devi Kroell Barbie is a fashion statement. This Barbie was made for a charity auction and sold at the Council of Fashion Designers of America for $1,075.

This Barbie, created by jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz, has red hair and is adorned with diamonds on diamonds on diamonds worth over $25,000. The kicker? The doll was only sold for $7,500 at an auction.
