Discord is a vast platform that allows you to create communities, message people, and keep in touch with your friends. You can use it to chat with people with text messaging, voice, and even video calls. It is a very versatile piece of software that can be used on your mobile device or computer. If you’re making changes on mobile, it can be a bit tricky at times because everything is not as obvious. We’ll show you how to move around text channels on Discord Mobile with this guide.
Sorting Text Channels
To move a text channel with Discord Mobile, you will need to head to the Server Settings and then go to Channels. Tap on the Reorder button at the top of the screen. Tap and hold on the channel you want to move and drag it into place! Hit the Done button once you’ve completed your moves.
The server settings can be found by tapping on the three dots next to the name and then hitting the Settings gear button that can be found in the server menu.
You can find the Channels button under the Settings listing. Keep in mind this can only be done if you have the role permissions needed to edit settings.
Hit the Reorder button at the top of the screen. You will be asked if you want to edit Categories, Text Channels, or Voice Channels.
Tap and hold on the text channel you want to move, and let go of it when you are satisfied with the position of it. When they have all been moved, just hit the Done button at the top of the screen to complete the reordering process.

For merging channels, posts made in one text channel can transferred to another, where they could either be appended to the channel it's being merged to, or left in-order of when that merged channels' post was made.
If a channel has a lock over its symbol, that means it's a private channel. Only some members can see it, and this extends to any messages within. Note that if anyone gets access to the channel later, they will be able to see its full message history just like those who already have access.
How can I resolve the issue of missing Discord channels? Various solutions can be attempted, such as refreshing Discord, clearing the Discord cache, restarting your device, checking your internet connection, resetting server permissions, and updating Discord to the latest version.
🔲 Make sure to check and switch your input/output device in the Voice Settings section to the specific device you're using! 🔲 Check your Volume Settings for your input and output mode! 🔲 Try resetting your voice and audio settings by pressing “Reset Voice Settings” when you scroll down.
If you've been using Discord for a while now, you probably noticed the mobile app was designed to reflect the desktop app. With this new iteration of Discord on mobile, we hope to make the mobile experience feel like it was optimized for your mobile device rather than a scaled-down desktop app.
