How to change Keyboard controls in WWE 2K22 (2024)
In WWE 2K22, players will experience a new Controls System that will dictate how Superstars can perform different moves. Keyboard and mouse players are going to face some difficulty with the default settings, especially while performing Grab, Carry, Dragging, and Combos.
Selecting the Controls setting in the Options tab will only show you the default controls at the start. However, players can change or remap their current keybinds by selecting the Extras option in the same Tab. Navigate through to the Input Settings in Extras to change the controls.
During gameplay, the assistance options will always show the default keybinds for specific moves. For instance, Grapple will be set to K, Pin to L, Reversal to I, and Strike to J. Regardless, players can remap these keys to personalize their controls.
While in Input Settings, remap keys by simply changing the default. Players can remap the keys, depending upon right-handed or left-handed preference. Ideally, Grapple, Pin, Reversal, Strike, and Climb should be remapped to keys that are closer to the movement buttons. Players can remap the keys to Q, E, R, F, and C for those who prefer left-handed controls. Similarly, keybind the aforementioned moves to the direction arrows and Numpad for right-handed controls.
In order to change the game's difficulty with sliders, players will first need to make their way to the "Options" menu. Once there, they should use R1 / RB to cycle across to the "Balancing" submenu, from which they'll be able to change a wide variety of settings.
If you start a universe mode you have to MAKE SURE your entire gameplay sliders are set exactly how you want them BEFORE starting it, otherwise you can no longer change them for your universe mode. If you change them after universe has already started, they will NOT take effect in your universe.
It means that that move allows to aim where the opponent lands by holding the left control stick in the desired direction during the move. (During a camera cut the directions are inverted.)
How to Use a Ladder in WWE 2K22. As with other foreign objects that can be used as weapons, players can pick up a ladder using the L1/LB button. Once they're holding it, they can use the Square/X button to use it as a weapon, or the X/A button to set it up.
A Mixed Bag Graphically. I played the game on Steam at 1440p with maxed settings. This port has zero mouse support, and one of the craziest keyboard control schemes I've ever seen. The left side of your controller is mapped to the left side of your keyboard around the WASD keys.
An Intel Core i5-3550 or AMD FX 8150 CPU is required at a minimum to run WWE 2K22, alongside either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 480 graphics card.
You can. Not as efficiently when it comes to actual gameplay, and on some screens the keys shift place a bit to make menus more confusing, but it can be done.
The controls in WWE 2K23 haven't changed much compared to the new control scheme introduced in WWE 2K22. The Grapple system and Combo system from WWE 2K22 are still present in the game, as well as the updated reversals system with the ability to Block and Dodge strikes.
Simulation means it takes into account weight class, like Cruiserweight won't lift a Super Heavy ever.Arcade means it's a free for all. I choose simulation, but you do you. I'm playing on simulation and Sin Cara was able to life Braun Strowman(me) up with no problem.
