Playground Games rolled out an update on February 1st for Forza Horizon 5 and among the usual online game mode bug fixes, previously created routes being able to undergo further edits in the EventLab and Festival Playlist fixes was one very prominent change: Forza Horizon 5 Super Wheelspins got nerfed. Also, obtaining said Super Wheelspins became more scarce through Car Mastery tree unlocks.
The change is a bit disappointing to say the least, considering that now our Best cars for unlocking Forza Horizon 5 Super Wheelspins list will have to be retuned; even more drastic however is how the nerf will affect new players, who will now find themselves having a much tougher time accumulating in-game credits. In addition the targeting of Super Wheelspins by the developers is a bit confusing, as seemingly more pressing matters like PC players being able to sell modded cars on the Auction House and cheaters still having broken/unattainable times in the Rivals and PR Stunt Leaderboards, still haven’t been attended to.
That being said, here’s a list of the cars whose Car Mastery trees weren’t affected by the Forza Horizon 5 February 1st update:
- 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA FE: Still contains 2 Super Wheelspins
- 1953 Chevrolet Corvette FE: Still contains a Super Wheelspin
- 2015 Koenigsegg One: Still contains 2 Super Wheelspins and a single Wheelspin
- 2015 Mercedes Tankpool FE: Still contains a Super Wheelspin and a 75K credit reward in second row
- 2019 Bugatti Divo: Still contains 2 Super Wheelspins and a single Wheelspin
- 2019 Zenvo TSR-S: Still contains 2 Super Wheelspins and a single Wheelspin

- 1926 Bugatti Type 35C: Reduced to single Super Wheelspin

- 1967 Lamborghini Miura: Reduced to single Super Wheelspin
- 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante: Super Wheelspin removed
- 1970 Chevrolet Camaro: Super Wheelspin removed
- 1973 Porsche Carrera RS: Credit reward reduced from 100K to 75K, Super Wheelspin still intact
- 1986 MG Metro 6R4: Top perk reduced from 3 Super Wheelspins to one

In terms of how Forza Horizon 5 Super Wheelspins got nerfed besides being removed from the Car Mastery trees, the developers added more lower tier prizes to the Super Wheelspins, most glaringly the addition of 1000 Credit prizes, which significantly drags down the average Credit reward amount.
