I am curious about feeding my coral. I have 4 that I know will eat. 1- frogspawn
2- hammer
3- Duncan
4- gonipiroa
What time should I / do you feed yours? Should I feed with lights on or off? I want some serious growth.
You could spot feed the Duncan with some brine and mysis every now and then depending on size
Water chemistry and consistency will provide more significant growth than feeding, sufficient illumination is equally as important, but with that said
You can feed all of those corals, Goniopower, SpongePower, Reef Roids, Rod's Foods. The Duncan will take larger pieces of meaty sea foods such as mysis and mixed frozen foods.
I feed my LPS mid afternoon, since those coral types are usually closed at night. Start by introducing some food to the tank, allow the corals time to show a feeding response and then proceed to feed with the pumps turned off for 15-30 minutes( set a timer so you do not forget to turn the pumps back on).
I have fed the Duncan mysis. It appears to have the biggest mouth of all my stuff. I am looking at feeding zooplanton to make sure everything has a little snack from time to time. I have a couple zoa frags and still haven't seen any additional polyps on those ether. The only 1 that I can tell has really grown any is a birdsnest frag. So I guess all I really need to do is wait!

Yup, I am in fact waiting right now for my corals to grow.
Feeding your corals won't hurt. IME feeding makes them grow faster and get a bit brighter.
When I feed I feel my LPS and palys bits of krill, about 0.3 cm. I have candy canes and blastos as far as lps goes but they eat it all.
